What We Store in Your Browser
Most cookie pages are long lists of trackers with strange names. This one is short, because there is only one thing to tell you about. Extreme Makeover Beau Fort Country does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media pixels or any third-party tracking. The only thing we keep in your browser is your answer to our cookie banner.
The single entry
When you click one of the buttons on the banner, your browser saves a small note in its local storage. Local storage works much like a cookie, but it is never sent along with your requests to a server. The note records which button you chose, so the banner does not keep popping up as you move from article to article.
| Item | Kept in | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your banner choice | Your browser's local storage | So the banner is shown once, not on every page | Until you clear your browser data |
The entry contains no name, email address, device identifier or browsing history. We cannot read it from our side, and it is not shared with anyone.
Why show a banner at all?
Since we do not track you, a banner might seem unnecessary. We show one because we believe visitors should be told clearly what a website stores on their device, even when the answer is "almost nothing". It also gives you a simple place to make a choice and to find this page.
What happens if I click decline?
No. Whether you accept or decline, the site works exactly the same way, and in either case no tracking takes place. The only difference is the value saved in that one entry.
Deleting the entry
You can clear the entry at any time through your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data, by deleting stored data for this website. The banner will then appear again on your next visit. Private or incognito windows usually forget it automatically when you close them.
Other websites
Outside websites that our articles link to may set cookies of their own. Their policies apply there, not ours.
Future changes
Should we ever add something that stores more information, such as a feature that genuinely needs it, we will update this page and our Privacy Notice first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Questions about any of this are welcome on our Reach Us page.
