Spotted an Error?
We try hard to get things right, but we are human, and guidance on health, food, exercise and home projects changes over time. If you find something on this site that looks wrong, outdated or unclear, we genuinely want to hear about it. Fixing errors quickly is one of the most useful things we can do for every other reader of that page.
Sending us a correction
Send an email to editor@extrememakeoverbeaufortcounty.com with "Correction" in the subject line, or use the form on our Reach Us page. To help us check it quickly, please include:
- a link to the page in question, or its headline;
- the sentence or section you think is wrong, copied or described;
- what you believe is correct, and why;
- where you found that information, if you have a source to hand.
You do not need to be an expert to report a problem. "This step did not work for me" or "this paragraph is confusing" is just as welcome as a technical correction.
Once your report arrives
Correction emails go to the top of the inbox. The writer responsible for the article looks at the point raised, rereads the sources behind it and checks for newer guidance. A second member of the team then reviews the outcome. We aim to respond within a few days, and sooner when the issue could affect someone's safety.
How fixes are made
- Small slips such as typos, broken formatting or an unclear phrase are corrected straight away.
- Factual errors are corrected in the text and the page's update date changes, so readers can see it has been revised.
- Safety-related issues, for example a missing warning about ventilation or a step that could cause injury, are fixed as a priority, and we review similar articles for the same gap.
- Outdated advice is rewritten in line with current general guidance, or the section is removed if we can no longer stand behind it.
If we look into a report and decide the article is accurate, we will explain why in our reply. Reasonable people sometimes read the same source differently, and we are happy to discuss it.
Disagreements versus errors
Some topics, such as the best way to fold sweaters or the ideal smoothie thickness, are matters of taste. We welcome different opinions, but we will usually only change an article if a point is factually wrong, unsafe or genuinely misleading.
Our side of the bargain
We never quietly bury a mistake that matters. The way we prepare articles is described on The Making of This Site, and the limits of our health content are set out in our health content notice. Thank you for helping us keep the site trustworthy.

A short note is enough.
